Good Morning March 14

Psalm 11 verse 3 asks the question, “When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do? It is a question for our modern times. Everywhere we look in today’s society the foundation of acknowledging the sovereignty of God are being destroyed. It is no longer a matter of acknowledging that all faiths have a right to worship as they choose. The demand is for the removal of all acknowledgment of God from public life. What can the righteous do? After Peter’s great confession of faith in the Lordship of Christ, Jesus said that upon this rock He would build His church, and the gates of hell would not prevail against it.(Matthew 16:18) The church is under persecution worldwide. It will continue to get stronger as the day of Christ’s return draws near. But we have Jesus’ sure promise of victory. Paul declared to the Philippian Church that one day “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”(2:10-11) As for Psalm 11 we have the assurance that our Lord sees all the affairs of men, and He will ultimately bring justice on the earth. “In the Lord I (we) take refuge.”(vs.1)
