Good Morning
We often drive up past Harpers Ferry, W.VA. along the Potomac river. At that spot there are a lot of rocks in the river. The current is strong, and the rocks create a lot of white water as it flows by. People do a lot of tubing on that part of the river. When the water is up it is quite a ride. Some will stop and hold on to a rock for a time of rest. It seems to me that is a picture of Jesus in the midst of life. Life flows along like the current of a river, sometimes at a fierce pace. But in the midst of life is Jesus. In His own life there was a lot of white water of controversy around Him as well as trials and pain, but He was solid an immovable. We, too, are in that river of life. The pace is swift, but the rock is always there to cling to. As long as we are on the rock of Christ we can’t be moved. The white water will swirl around us, but we know that we are a part of the only thing that is solid in life. You are set upon the rock of Jesus today. Don’t worry about the swirling waters. They will pass by.
