Good Morning October 22

Human life is complex beyond measure. People have studied and pondered the depth of the body and the soul for thousands of years, and still understand only a small fraction of who we really are. We are created in God’s image. This must mean that we are looking into a small portion of who God is. We can never know all there is to know about our God, but as we look at the complexity and perfection that we see in all created things, we are brought to a sense of awe and wonder. We have allowed sin to enter and mar this beauty, but it cannot be erased. Even the presence of sin has revealed a depth of love in God’s nature that was willing to give the life of His only begotten Son in atonement for those sins. Seeing all this, we can only bow in humility and worship, declaring with St. Paul, “Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways!”(Romans 11:33)
