When a large crowd came to Jesus, He told the disciples to give them something to eat, but they only had one small lunch. At another time Jesus and the disciple were all in a boat on the Sea of Galilee when a great storm almost sank them. He questioned why they were so afraid. Did they have no faith? Jesus was continually testing and stretching their faith. What do these lessons mean for us? Are we supposed to feed large crowds with one lunch bag? Or still storms by yelling at the wind to stop? No, I don’t think that’s the point, though with God all things are possible. Jesus is calling us to put all things into His hands, trusting ourselves into His care. We have enough cares and trials each day that test our faith. We can trust Him. He is continually telling us not to worry, or be afraid. Meet life this day trusting in Jesus. Every storm won’t be stilled, but He has a firm hold on your hand.
