Good Morning April 15

This Sunday is Palm Sunday marking the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem to the triumphal shouts of “Hosanna!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.” “Blessed is the King of Israel.” (John 12:13) But we know how quickly those shouts changed to “Crucify Him!” “Crucify Him!” These were, by no means, the last of the shouting. Three days later the shout went up, “He is risen!” “He is risen indeed!” Even that will not be the last of the great expressions people will make to the Lord. There will come a time when “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”(Philippians 2:10-11) The King that entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday is our King. The One who brought us salvation and life, and beyond the shouting and rejoicing, He is the One to whom we bow in humble thanksgiving and devoted love.
